Successful Marketing Projects

I may be able to give you new insights into that marketing problem that’s had you stumped.
U.S. Postal Service – The Postal Service asked me to develop a program to increase the number of stamp collectors in the U.S..  I created a program to get elementary school teachers to use stamps to teach American History.  To support this, I created the Benjamin Franklin Stamp Clubs for elementary schools and a whole variety educational materials for teachers to use..  The Postal Service would consider the project a success if I could create 1,500 clubs. In the first year over 20,000 clubs were started.

Deak-Perera – When 10 gram gold bars first became available, I was asked to develop a marketing plan.  The bars were incorporated into jewelry items and the entire initial supply of bars were sold in months.

International Safe Depository – One of the nation’s first private safe depositories asked me to create a marketing plan to introduce the idea of a private safe depository to the public.  To show its safety, I created a Grand Opening event that had $1 million in gold as the centerpiece of a wine and cheese reception with the guests having their pictures taken sitting in a chair made of gold bars.  The evening was so successful that additional events were held in following years featuring $1 million in silver and later $1 million in pearls.

Texas Educational Microwave Project – I was hired by TEMP to increase the utilization of this three-city educational television network by the seven universities that used the service.  In the first year I increased the network’s utilization by 400% with no increase in budget.

Executive Office of the President – I was contracted to produce and direct large multi-projector slide presentations for President Reagan’s addresses to senior federal officials.
